Vertical Door Lamborghini

The only current Lamborghini in production which uses this design is the Murciélago.The Lamborghini Murciélago is a supercar made by Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. and designed by Luc Donckerwolke. It was introduced in 2002 as the successor to the Diablo. The Murciélago is a two door, two seat coupé. To celebrate the Lamborghini company's 40th birthday, 50 special edition Murciélagos were built during the autumn of 2003.An open-top version called the Murciélago roadster was introduced in 2004 for the 2005 model year.

The roadster features similar performance to the coupé with a more aggressive rear flank, as well as a considerably higher price tag.The Murciélago sports a 6.2 L version of the legendary Lamborghini V12 engine, a six-speed manual or six-speed sequential automatic transmission, and all-wheel drive. It also has a rear spoiler that can be raised to an angle of 70 degrees, side mirrors that fold in to improve aerodynamics, and side scoops that automatically open to the needed size to let in just the right amount of air needed to cool its engine.
The name Murciélago comes from a bull that survived 24 sword strokes in an 1879 fight at the arena of Cordoba, and fought with such passion and spirit that the matador chose to spare its life, a rare honor. In another Lamborghini tie-in, the bull was later presented as a gift to Don Antonio Miura, a noted breeder, and went on to sire a line of famous fighting bulls. Murciélago also means bat in Spanish, and a Murciélago roadster is featured briefly in the movie Batman Begins. The coupé's base price is US$273,000, which is US$90,000 more than its smaller sibling, the Lamborghini Gallardo.Lamborghini have announced two more powerful models, the XTR, a track-only car with a 700 bhp version of the V12, and the LP640 with 640 bhp. Vertical Door
How does a Vertical Door function?
When inside you will grab the door handle of the car. Pulling the door toward you the door will open 12 - 18 inches like they do normally. From there the door will stop and not open horizontally any further. Once done you will now grab the bottom of the door and lift vertically. The door will then reach a certain point which it will not lift anymore. At this point you will be able to get in and out of the vehicle. In normal case the bottom back portion of the door will be higher than the roof of the vehicle.

Vertical Doors
Today i will discuss the last two kinds of vertical doors available:Scissor-Slide Vertical Doors and 90 Degrees Vertical Doors.
Scissor-Slide Vertical Door:
Scissor-Slide Vertical Lambo Door kit is designed for a universal fit and easy installation. The kit works by opening the door a little to the side and swing it up. It swings up 90 degrees so you don't have to crawl into the car, you simply open it, get in, and close it. When are you are ready to come out then open it again and get out without breaking your back. The vertical door system has four adjustable points on the hinge allows the doors to have a unique look. The kit is 100% CNC machined using 4130 chromyl steel construction. The kits have electrolyses nickel plated for corrosion protection and show quality. It includes four 150lbs struts, door hinges, adjustable brackets, instructions and all hardware required to install the kit.
The hinges are 100% reversible should you wish to put the factory hinges back on your vehicle. Since most scissor door manufacturers use the original factory latches and locks, the process is as simple as switching the door hinge.
90 Degree Vertical Door:
The Vertical Door kit is designed for a universal fit and easy installation. It will lift the doors up to a 90 degrees vertical direction. The door will be able to stay straight up instead of having them hanging on the side as you would have from a vertical door inc. or specific bolt-on kit. Vertical Doors
Today, February 14th 2007 i will discuss two other types of vertical doors to help you differ from all the types of vertical doors available on the market. The two types of vertical doors that i will discuss today are: Gt Factory Vertical Doors and Razor Vertical Doors. There is a slight difference in the two but each has its own character. The first vertical door i will discuss is The Gt Factory Vertical Door.
